Estimator - Estimator, Construction, Asphalt
Position Overview : The Estimator will be responsible for preparing bids and determining project cost estimates. They will review plans and specifications to calculate the costs associated with completing a project, as well as using their expertise to identify potential risks and solutions.
This position requires a strong understanding of the construction and project management process.
Key Responsibilities :
- Accurately review project plans and specifications to determine accurate cost estimates and bid amounts.
- Prepare and provide detailed estimates for construction, asphalt, and road projects.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and provide feedback.
- Perform site visits and inspections to ensure accurate estimates.
- Provide timely updates on estimating and project progress to project managers.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in estimating construction projects.
- Strong math and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of construction and asphalt techniques.
- Strong understanding of project management principles.
- Knowledge of road building regulations and standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office and estimating software.
