Interim Director, Case Management Needed in Valencia, California
The Position
An Interim Director of Case Management is needed to lead case management operations for a busy hospital in California. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this leader will oversee a team of approximately 40 FTEs.
Key responsibilities include overseeing case management staff, ensuring consistent application of practices and new guidelines put into place, guiding education of the team on metrics and escalation, managing utilization / revenue functions (denials, etc.), and working with physicians to optimize patient throughput.
The ideal candidate is assertive yet collaborative, credible with clinical and administrative stakeholders, well-versed in case management metrics and escalation processes, and able to mentor a developing leadership team. Must listen to staff input, hold people accountable, and be comfortable working with challenging physicians.
Must be available to start within 23 weeks of acceptance.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required.
Active California RN license required.
At least ten years of nursing experience in case management leadership roles, ideally in acute care settings, with strong experience in utilization review, denials management, and system-level case management oversight.

Compensation Details
Compensation Range : $160,000 to $170,000 annually.
The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits.
The listed base compensation range represents a good faith estimate of potential earnings at the time of this job posting and may be subject to future adjustments.
