N. Wasserstrom, an industry leader since 1902, is a national leader in the manufacturing of food service equipment. We currently have an opportunity for an entry-level Crater to join our Warehouse Team.

Position responsibilities include, Preparing and protecting product in a range of sizes for shipping by building wooden crates or boxes using woodworking hand tools or powered tools to a planned schedule.

Must be comfortable using hand tools.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES :

• Able to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• Required to coexist and function in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and group problem-solving skills required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :

High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

• Medium to Heavy Work - Exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 35 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 15 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
• Frequently required to stand and reach with hands and arms.
• Required to walk.
• Must be able to bend over.
• Must be able to see close up and also at a distance.
• Must be able to talk and hear.

WORKING CONDITIONS :

• Manufacturing environment may cause exposure to heat, noise, vibration, odors or dust.
• Ambient temperatures.
• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• The noise level is usually moderate but may be severe at times.
• Usually work a standard work week but may be required to work some evenings and weekends to meet customer demand.
