Job descriptionSupervise, schedule and lead QA Technicians and team members, ensuring safe food handling practices and regulatory compliance. Communicate with USDA team members. Monitor plant floor for quality and food safety issues. Provide training for the weekly QA meetings. Monitor samples submission form before packing. Perform QA hold releases and transactions and WH transfers. Help with any implementation of programs and procedures. Create, maintain and verify maintain paperwork of all production and quality paperwork. Order supplies as needed. Oversee hold releases. Communicate when product is out of specification with the management team and techs. Assist in preparation and execution of customer, corporate, and third party audits Ensure compliance with regulatory programs Perform document reviews, ensuring completion and accuracy All other relevant duties as required High School Diploma or GED required, preferably Bachelor degree in Food, Animal, Poultry Science or other closely related field Previous QA and food manufacturing experience Previous supervisory experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in poultry or meat processing Excellent written and verbal communication skills Bilingual (English / Spanish) skills preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficient computer and analytical skills Detail oriented Repetitive hand motions, reaching, and lifting up to 20 lbs Stand and walk on concrete majority of shift Frequently stoop, kneel, crawl, twist, bend and lift various weights as needed Occasionally climb ladders, steep inclines, and enter confined spaces Exposure to cold, humid environment with temperatures ranging from 40 to 90 degrees Exposure to noise levels greater than 85 decibels Exposure to strong odors, including ammonia Exposure to slippery and wet conditions Promotional Career Opportunities Health, Dental & Vision Insurance Voluntary Life & Disability Insurance 401k Savings Plan (after 1 year of employment) Paid Weekly Paid Time Off Employee Purchase Program Cobra Insurance Cost Reimbursement
