Job Description
Are you an experienced tax professional with a CPA certification? Are you seeking an enticing opportunity to join our internationally owned industrial manufacturing business as a Senior Tax Accountant in Calabasas, CA?
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in our tax operations, ensuring compliance with federal and state income tax regulations while devising effective tax strategies.
Reporting directly to the Head of Tax, main duties and responsibilities include the following :
- Prepare federal, state, and local income tax returns.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales / use tax returns.
- Prepare quarterly tax provisions for financial statements.
- Remit quarterly income tax estimates and payments to various tax agencies. Accuracy is critical.
- Prepares documentation for local, state, and federal level returns for submission within specified deadlines.
- Assist with preparation for and responses to tax examinations, and internal and independent audits.
- Prepare personal property tax returns.
- Keep updated on local, state, and federal statutory and regulatory changes, and analyze and implement to ensure compliance.
- Assist with annual financial statement audit.
- Communicate with various members of the organization to improve and maintain internal control of tax functions.
- Work with Corporate Tax Director on projects.
- Perform other duties as related to the job function as required

The Successful Applicant
In return for a generous compensation package, the successful candidates will possess the following :
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in federal and state income tax compliance and planning
- Thorough understanding of federal and state income tax regulations, with the ability to navigate complex tax issues.
- Proficiency in analytical thinking and problem-solving, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective conveyance of complex tax concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient in tax software and MS Office suite.
- Ability to work in-office, 5 days a week, close to Calabasas, CA.
