Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist experienced in Maternal Fetal Medicine and OB for a 13-week contract with rotating call.
Responsibilities
Work in a hospital-based general ultrasound departmentPerform a wide range of ultrasound exams with a strong focus on obstetrics, including maternal fetal medicineAdditional exams include general abdominal, some vascular (DVT studies), and minor procedures such as paracentesis and ultrasound-guided biopsyShifts consist of 4x10 hours, rotating between 7 : 00 AM–5 : 30 PM and 8 : 00 AM–6 : 30 PMRotating call requiredFloating may be required in accordance with facility policiesLocals are acceptedFirst-time travelers are consideredPrimary responsibilities include conducting OB scans, fetal anatomical survey, and supporting maternal fetal medicine casesPerform some vascular and general ultrasound studies as neededTeam support includes orientation when floating to related unitsExpect to work some holidays as scheduledDress code or scrub requirements not specifiedAll requests for time off must be submitted in advance and may be limited, especially in the first two weeks or for full weeks offRequirements
Minimum of 2 years ultrasound experience, specifically with maternal fetal medicine and OBARDMS certification required; OB specialty preferredAbility to perform adult, ER, OB, abdominal, vascular, and minor procedure ultrasound studiesExperience with Doppler studies, transvaginal, and portable ultrasound examsSubmission must include 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 yearsFull 7 year work history required with all gaps explainedLicense required if applicableBenefits
