TRAILS Ministries is a faith-based non-profit agency assisting those impacted directly or indirectly by the trauma of incarceration. Our holistic approach incorporates best practices and evidence-based programming and continues through the redeeming processes of restoration and rehabilitation.

Job Purpose

To assist students with performing and developing academic, social, behavioral skills; assist in shaping students behavior through positive reinforcement, redirection, and other strategies according to established techniques and procedures; provide positive behavior interventions for newly created DOVE Program.

Duties and responsibilities

• Organizes and facilitates daily program activities
• Manages clients needs during program
• Works with Lead Facilitator and Program Coordinator to troubleshoot problems and provides care and assistance to other staff
• Responsible for consistent communication with participants assigned and regular program updates to program staff and partners
• Complete daily notes on each participant responsible for during programming
• Encouraging respect for ideas voiced during facilitation
• Steering conversations about the learning material
• Extracting varied insights from participants

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
