Senior Staff Accountant
The Senior Staff Accountant position prepares financial statements and related reports as well as ensures the accurate and timely recording of accounting transactions for all business channels. This role is also responsible for overseeing the accounting processes and financial reporting for a variety of smaller, company-owned subsidiaries.
This individual will reconcile accounts, prepare financial reports to discuss with management, resolve account discrepancies and verify financial transactions. This individual should have excellent analytical skills and extensive knowledge of the accounting principles and the ability to apply those principles to a variety of business channels.
Essential Functions :
- Develop and refine accounting processes and reporting to support new business activities and organizational growth, serving as the finance point person for various subsidiaries and working as a liaison for teams working in other locations.
- Help drive the month-end variance analysis process, completing in-depth analysis of assigned financial statement items, reviewing variance responses from operational and corporate departments and communicating these results to management.
- Prepare monthly financial statements along with comparative trial balances, consolidating schedules and other workpapers used in the review and analysis of monthly financial statements and used annually for the external audit.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of general ledger accounts including cash, accounts receivable, prepaid assets, accrued liabilities, debt and deferred income balances.

Minimum Degree Required : Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / FinancePreferred Degree : Master's Degree in Accounting or BusinessLicense : CPA preferredExperience : 5+ years in accounting / financeKnowledge, Skills, and Ability :
