Job Summary :
This role is responsible for the analysis, building, testing and implementing of information systems and solutions. This position is accountable for providing knowledge and skills in assigned software applications and various system environments, developing and following project schedules, plans, reviews and timelines. Work closely with end users, peers and vendors in problem determination and resolution.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities :
Provides general system management and support to user population, reporting anomalies and / or discrepancies to management.Interacts with executives and project team / resources to understand requirements, workflows, business process model and expectations.Reviews, analyzes, and modifies applications systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support an organization's application systems.Evaluates application updates and revisions and participates in testing.Troubleshoots, solves and makes improvements on how applications and workflow processes are used throughout organization.Documents processes to best use applications.Provides EDI support.Evaluates requests for department / system modifications and enhancements to ensure processes continue to function properly.Stays current with new application functionality and enhancements.Works independently on multiple tasks, resolve problems and provide resolution with limited supervision.Ensures application compliance to HIPAA Standards, and contractual obligations.Operates under tight deadlines and may be subject to workloads demanding work beyond their core hours to meet the need of the organization for upgrades, go-lives, and other short term projectsOther duties as assignedRequired Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
Knowledge of health care operations and structure, general requirements in an integrated delivery system, and use of information system applications in the practicing health care environmentKnowledge of application environments including production, test and interfacesExceptional customer service skills, responding to user needs in a prompt, courteous mannerAbility to apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve system issues to maximize system potentialUnderstanding / compliance of HIPAA laws and regulationsEducation or Equivalency
High school diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor's degree in related field preferredExperience Requirements :
1-3 years experience in healthcare applications preferredExperience with GE Centricity applications suite preferredExperience with SQL Database preferred
