SUMMARY / SCOPE
OTTS is seeking a Safety Coordinator. The Safety Coordinator will manage the safety plan for all services specified in the contract. This opportunity is contingent upon contract award.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Represent the Contractor in all safety related matters under the contract.
- Attend Government provided training annually.
- Implement safety program for all employees; ensure program complies with all Federal, State, and local requirements; prevent any injuries and accidents.
- Prepare Risk and Contingency Plans for mobilization, natural disaster, or labor disputes.
- Participate in all Energy Conservation efforts and programs; ensure compliance of all requirements in handling of hazardous waste; instruct employees in energy and water conversation practices.
- Implement Recycling Plan that complies with Government recycling requirements.
- Maintain safe work environment; ensure all regulations and directives comply with legal regulations; prepare reports on accidents and violations, determine causes.
- Adhere to company policies and guidelines; comply with all governmental security policies and procedures on training site.
- Conduct educational seminars and training as needed, educate new hires on safety procedures.
Qualifications :
Minimum two (2) years safety experience with role player services or services of comparable magnitude (management, administrative staff and 100+ part time employees); law enforcement experience is highly desired.Ability to pass a background check and preemployment drug screen, DOD Security clearance preferred.Ability to work with limited supervision; critical thinker, possess problem solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsFamiliar with MS Office, possess computer (data analysis and reporting statistics) skillsAbility to work normal duty hours (6 : 30 am to 6 : 00 pm).High School diploma or GED, certificate in occupational health and safety preferred.US Citizen or ability to work in United StatesDisclaimer
