Allied Universal is currently hiring a part-time security officer for a library in Boston, MA Saturday 5 PM - 11 : 30 PM + Sunday 6 PM - 11 : 30 PM. Starting pay is $21.20 per hour / Paid orientation / Paid training / DailyPay available.

What You'll Do :

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.

Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials when necessary, and assisting with visitor management.

Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and observations during each shift as required by Allied Universal.

Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and local authorities as needed to address security-related concerns and provide assistance.

Minimum Requirements :

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years old for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
