Position Overview :
The Inventory Specialist is crucial to our operations, responsible for optimizing and maintaining inventory and its storage. This role involves running reports, analyzing data, and making informed decisions on stock placement based on dimensions and sales data. The Inventory Specialist will ensure accurate inventory counts through reconciliation and will manage adjustments and movements as needed.
Essential Job Functions :
- Optimize and maintain inventory storage to maximize efficiency and accessibility.
- Analyze inventory data to determine optimal stock placement based on dimensions and sales trends.
- Reconcile physical inventory with system records and investigate discrepancies.
- Execute inventory movements and adjustments accurately and promptly.
- Collaborate with teams during re-profiling stages to manage inventory transitions effectively.
Qualifications :
Forklift certified, or be willing to obtain certification to operate power equipmentAbility to read and write English.Willingness to become proficient with ERP / WMS systems; previous experience preferred.Basic Microsoft Excel and Word skills.Basic math skills.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift items up to 50 poundsAbility to walk and stand up to 8 hours per dayAbility to climb ladders up to 16 ft.Working Conditions :
