This position focuses primarily on outpatient clinic care and inpatient rounding , with minimal surgical involvement . The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, independent, patient-focused, and enjoys working collaboratively in both hospital and clinic settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients with spine and neurosurgical conditions in the outpatient setting
- Round on hospitalized patients, including postoperative and consult cases.
- Perform comprehensive histories, physical exams, and review imaging.
- Develop and implement treatment and follow-up plans in collaboration with the neurosurgeon.
- Provide pre- and postoperative education and coordinate care between hospital and clinic.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in the EMR.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program or Nurse Practitioner program.Current NCCPA, ANCC or AANPCB certification and active (or eligible) Indiana license.BLS and ACLS certification required.Previous experience in neurosurgery, orthopedics, neurology, or hospital medicine preferred.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Interest and willingness to function independently as a provider.Schedule & Benefits
