About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum of 2 years

License : Valid Michigan license required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate and / or NCC C-EFM

Must-Have :

• OB, Mother / Baby, and Labor & Delivery experience
• Ability to float to various areas as needed

Description :

Candidates must have experience and be comfortable working in all areas of labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum.

Nurses will float to the house as a sitter when necessary.

Floating to another facility may occur if needed, depending on patient census.

No time off requests are allowed during the first 8 days of the contract.

Only one holiday request is permitted, and it can either be a holiday day or an evening / day after, but not both.

Patient ratios will follow established staffing guidelines.

Work schedule includes every other weekend.

The unit consists of 15 beds, with 3 triage bays and 2 operating rooms.

Registered Nurses provide antepartum, labor and delivery, OR circulating, scrub nurse, newborn nurse at delivery, and couplet care.

Nurses will perform lab draws and hearing screens on newborns.

Skills required include the ability to circulate and triage fetal heart monitoring.

Preferred skills include scrub experience.

Training will be provided to complete newborn infant hearing screens using specific equipment.

The work environment includes interdisciplinary support services such as respiratory, interpretation, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary.

Candidates should be prepared to handle various patient diagnoses as part of their duties.
