We are looking for a dynamic Investigative On-Air News Producer for a Washington, D.C.-based national evening newscast. Our goal is to offer audiences on multiple platforms something different — impactful coverage they cannot find elsewhere.
The ideal candidate will have solid news judgment, be a compelling and accurate writer, and be able to multitask and manage their time effectively to contribute to an engaging and informative newscast. They should understand how to dig for stories, research thoroughly, write with an edge, and use strong storytelling and TV production skills to make content powerful and memorable across platforms. Knowledge of the FOIA process, computer-assisted reporting, data-driven reporting, and familiarity with legal issues related to investigative television news are required. Strong writing skills and knowledge of current events are essential. Dynamic storytelling skills are a must.
If you are a news "seeker" and content "predator," this is the job for you. This environment is highly collaborative, and the ability to work well as part of a team is essential.
