Network Reliability Specialist

Leidos is seeking a Network Reliability Specialist to support NASA's Network and Telecommunications organizations. In this pivotal role, you will be the Network Reliability and Availability Lead, dedicated to ensuring that NASA's critical network systems and services are not only dependable and resilient but also aligned with defined availability and performance targets.

The ideal candidate will merge extensive technical knowledge in network engineering with robust analytical abilities and a focus on reliability. This is a key position essential for maintaining the operational integrity and uptime of NASA's LAN, WAN, Mission, Firewall, and Voice networks, thereby contributing to mission success across various NASA centers and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing network reliability and availability across NASA's LAN, WAN, Mission, FW, and Voice infrastructure.
• Devise and implement reliability frameworks that include uptime metrics, service availability targets, and performance baselines.
• Continuously monitor and analyze network performance and fault data to pinpoint trends, foresee failures, and proactively address risks.
• Collaborate effectively with engineering, operations, and cybersecurity teams to guarantee the creation of fault-tolerant and resilient architectures.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for network incidents and execute corrective measures to bolster overall reliability.
• Design and maintain redundancy, disaster recovery, and failover strategies tailored to meet NASA's mission needs.
• Develop and upkeep availability dashboards, performance reports, and SLA tracking for both NASA and Leidos leadership.
• Assist in capacity planning and modernization efforts to uphold scalability and consistent performance.
• Communicate clearly and provide technical reporting to both NASA technical teams and leadership stakeholders.

Pay Range :

Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
