Nursing Station Technician

The Nursing Station Technician is a position consisting of a Nursing Assistant role to deliver direct patient care and assist with preparing equipment and procedure rooms for endoscopy procedures. We are looking for a Nursing Station Technician to join our Endoscopy unit at the University of Minnesota East Bank.

This position is a .8 FTE, working 64 hours every 2 weeks, 8-hour, day shifts, Monday-Friday.

In this role, you will work under the direct supervision of a professional nurse to demonstrate excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills with patients, families, and the healthcare team on a fast-paced unit. Other job duties include :

• Patient care such as personal hygiene, vitals, daily activities, repositioning, transporting, and feeding
• Maintaining unit desk area functions such as answering phones, processing admissions, discharging and transferring forms, transcribing orders, assembling patient charts and ordering tests
• Setting up and maintaining patient rooms
• Ordering and stocking of supplies
