Position Overview

Shaw Industries is hiring an Automation Reliability Tech V paying $40.57 / hr in Port Wentworth. The Automation Reliability Technician will be responsible for executing assigned tasks with a strong focus on maintaining safe work practices, delivering high-quality, precise work, and supporting a customer service-oriented culture that contributes to the success of "Great Products & Service." They will ensure adherence to established standards and best practices, leveraging both training and work experience. This position also involves mentoring Reliability Electricians at levels II-IV, sharing maintenance knowledge and skillsets, while continuing to enhance their understanding of maintenance practices, equipment performance, and their impact on manufacturing processes and business goals. Additionally, the individual will provide feedback on job assignment needs and suggest improvement opportunities to both peers and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Maintain manufacturing process and support equipment to highest, reasonable performance levels to include electrical systems including, but not limited to :
• Electrical system components - MCCs, inverters, motors, etc.
• Control systems - PLCs, robotics, and other associated automation equipment

Perform advanced troubleshooting and lead repairs of equipment causing or contributing to safety, quality, downtime / productivity opportunities and issues

Execute and assist in development of proactive maintenance plans, including planned jobs on assigned equipment to include :

Execute assigned or scheduled work orders in support of projects and process improvement (PI) efforts identified as critical to business objectives

Mentor Reliability Electrician II's-IV's in development of needed skills, assisting those resources with oversight and management of projects and other work assignments linked to manufacturing systems
