Contract Management
Draft, review, and manage supplier contracts, amendments, and renewals in coordination with Legal, Information Security, Privacy, and stakeholders.
Review contract terms, service levels, and pricing agreements; provide redlines and updates.
Track contract expiration dates and initiate renewals or pre-sourcing activities.
Maintain contract database and ensure accuracy in Kemper's contract tool.
Resolve contract-related questions or issues with vendors.
Sourcing Support
Assist with RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs for low-to-medium complexity proposals.
Collect and organize bid responses; support negotiations with cost / spend analysis.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to clarify requirements.
Analyze spend data to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.
Supplier & Market Research
Research potential suppliers, pricing, and market trends.
Maintain supplier database and evaluate vendor performance.
Collaboration
Work closely with Legal, contract teams, and end stakeholders.
Facilitate contract coordination and ensure smooth execution.

Required Skills & Experience
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
1-3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or contract support (corporate experience preferred).
Skills
Strong understanding of sourcing, negotiation, and contract processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Familiarity with e-sourcing and contract management tools (e.g., Coupa, SAP Ariba, Oracle).
Certification in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CPSM, CIPS).
Experience in the insurance industry.
Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier research.
Ability to handle minor contract redlining and small-scale negotiations.
