Prospect & Develop : Identify new business opportunities through research, networking, and outreach. Client Engagement : Build strong relationships with decision-makers in commercial and industrial sectors. Sales Strategy : Create and execute plans to penetrate new markets and grow revenue streams. Proposal Management : Prepare accurate estimates and proposals based on project specifications and blueprints. Collaboration : Work closely with project managers, engineers, and fabrication teams to ensure seamless delivery.
A successful Sheet Metal Sales Rep should have : Education : Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Experience : 2+ years in sales, preferably in mechanical contracting, HVAC, or construction. Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication and HVAC systems. Technical Skills : Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Understanding of mechanical systems and industry terminology. Soft Skills : Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Self-motivated with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets. Other Requirements : Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within service area. Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
