Locum Nurse Practitioner / PA Cardiothoracic Surgery ICU

Hot Locum Cardiothoracic ICU Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or physician assistant (PA) LOCUM TENEN Opportunity in Beautiful Northern California!

Start Date ASAP / Preferably- End date October with an opportunity to extend!

The role is for an experienced PA or Acute care certified NP within the cardiac surgical ICU and Tele floor. The candidate should have demonstrable experience managing acute care patients particularly who have undergone cardiac surgery. They should be able to start central lines and arterial lines and manage chest tubes and surgical drains and be comfortable with mechanical circulatory support devices such at ECMO, IABP and Impella. This is not a surgical role in that there is no need for the candidate to have intraoperative experience.

The Cardiothoracic Nurse Practitioner will be working in an inpatient cardiothoracic surgery capacity at a level one trauma center!

12-hour night shifts! Lots of independence

Schedule is 14 shifts per month 4 on one week, 3 the next, variable scheduling and all nights!

Will provide cardiothoracic critical care patient care, VADS, some procedural support and patient rounding 100% inpatient capacity / high acuity!

Candidate must be a Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or physician assistant
