Job Title : Clinical Manager
Reports To : Director of Clinical Services
FLSA : Exempt
Department : Clinical Services Department
Summary : T he incumbent manages programs and major service delivery activities. This position provides leadership and treatment coordination of mental health and rehabilitation services to individuals with mental illness and respective family members. The incumbent applies advanced clinical knowledge, and judgment assures quality of clinical services and trains and consults with staff as needed. Provides direct clinical supervision of interns and associates as appropriate.
Provides other services that contribute to the achievement of goals and objectives of the agency and department.
Responsibilities and duties :
Managerial Responsibilities :
Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Duties include managing the clinical services department. Hiring and progressively disciplining employees. Will have Mental Health Specialists MHS I& MHS II reporting to them.

Education and Experience :
This position requires a minimum of a masters degree in one of the disciplines listed Master of Social Work (MSW) or Master of Psychology or Counseling (MA / MS). In addition, the incumbent must possess a clinical license in good standing with the Board of Behavioral Sciences or the Board of Psychology. Acceptable licenses include Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), and Licensed Psychologist (will accept BBS license eligible candidates).
Additional Training Preferred :
Completion of Intern / Trainee Supervision or equivalent. LCSWs and LMFTs supervising ASW or MFT Interns must complete a minimum of six hours of supervision training within the two-year period immediately preceding the commencement of supervision and every renewal period while supervising. If such coursework has not been completed in the two-year period immediately preceding supervision, the supervisor must complete the six-hour training within 60 days of commencement of supervision and in each renewal period thereafter.

Language Ability :
Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on critical or complex topics that affect the business client care to management, public groups and / or boards of directors.
Math Ability :
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals. Ability to apply concepts such as, determination of reliability and validity to practical situations, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis.
Reasoning Ability :
Ability to apply principles of logical or clinical thinking to a wide range of individual, family and community problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables to provide clinical interpretation.
Computer Skills :
Word processing, spreadsheet, accounting, payroll systems, internet, human resource systems, project management software, database software, contact management systems.
Work Environment :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Special Requirements :
Must be able to meet and receive a criminal records clearance as required by Title XXII, licensing regulations. This includes FBI and DOJ clearance. A health screening, by or under the direction of a physician must have been performed not more than one year prior to employment or within seven (7) days after employment. Health screening must include TB clearance not more than one year prior to employment or within seven (7) days after employment. Must have a valid standard first aid card from an accredited institution. Must be physically able to assist clients and / or staff in the evacuation of program facility in emergency situations. Must be able to administer first aid in an emergency.
