Job descriptionCleans offices, storerooms, corridors, stairways, hospital rooms and wards, dry mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors using vacuum cleaners and powered floor scrubbers and buffers. Dusts, waxes, and polishes furniture Empties waste baskets Washes walls, windows, and blinds Collects soiled linen and places at pickup point Receives and delivers clean linen Keeps rest rooms in clean, orderly, and sanitary condition Cleans, disinfects, and deodorizes lavatories, urinals, and toilet bowls Cleans mirrors, sink and water fountains Dusts ledges and woodwork Removes dirt and greasy film from surfaces Replaces deodorizers, toilet tissues, hand towels and soap Notes condition of rest room and reports water leaks, clogged drains, and other conditions requiring maintenance Keeps an adequate stock of cleaning materials and equipment Gathers and disposes of trash and waste Washes door frames, lighting vents, ceiling fixtures and partitions using ladders Removes stains from surfaces using chemicals and cleaning solutions Cleans medical treatment areas according to established procedures and observing aseptic techniques Cleans isolation areas according to correct procedures Uses specified cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting agents Retrieves and returns cart of supplies and equipment Cleans and maintains equipment used in performance of duties, changing brushes, accessories, and stores properly Maintains linen supplies in each area including inventory, restocking, and cleaning area Performs special clean and disinfectant procedures under direction of nursing staff.

POSITION PURPOSE
Under supervision, keeps clinic and hospital buildings and grounds in a clean, neat, and orderly condition; launders hospital linens and clothing; performs minor building maintenance work; and performs other job-related work as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
EDUCATION CERTIFICATION
High school diploma or equivalent.

No Experience Required
Bilingual is a plus
Pre-Employment Requirements
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, drug screening, and health clearance—conducted only after a conditional offer of employment has been made. Health clearance may include a physical exam, TB testing, and immunization review.
