Role Overview

Fisker is looking for a Buyer, Indirect Purchase & Business Services to join our team in Manhattan Beach, CA or Detroit, MI .

This position works with executive leadership and our operations teams to manage procurement, vendor negotiations and vendor relationships.

This role requires exceptional communication, negotiation and organizational skills. A successful candidate needs to thrive in a pressurized environment using data and facts to help identify risks, manage resources and solve problems quickly and effectively.

A strong team ethic with the ability to interact at all levels and across business boundaries is required to be successful in this position.

Responsibilities

• Create Purchase requisitions in ERP system
• Enters POs that are approved per budget
• Issue purchase orders quickly and without error
• Follow up with internal stakeholders to insure that PO are getting approved in an expeditious manner
• Ensure purchase orders are acknowledged by suppliers
• Obtain the original promise date from suppliers
• Review open order report and manage deliveries
• Resolve invoice issues and ensuring that vendors are paid on time
• Expedite parts as necessary
• Act as customer service for Fisker internal customers
• Support the Manager of Indirect Procurement in cost savings initiatives as needed
• Lead miscellaneous procurement projects as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Business or related field or equivalent work experience required.
• Experience with sustainable sourcing and logistics. SAP experience highly desirable
• 3- 5 years of buyer experience. Experience with Indirect materials is highly preferred
• Self-starter with a high level of flexibility and commitment, and a strong drive to win.
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), problem-solving skills, and analytical skills.
• Ability and desire to work cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, logistics, manufacturing, to resolve implementation issues holistically.
• Experienced with Microsoft Office and common workplace software applications.
• Detail oriented with strong record-keeping and organizational skills.
