Application Engineer

Selectek is partnering with a firm near Houston, Texas to hire an Application, Engineer on a direct hire basis. Candidates will select components and size instrumentation / control items for a company that specializes in oil & gas piping projects.

Expected Pay Range : $90,000-$110,000 annual salary

Location : western Houston, TX

Schedule : Monday-Friday, normal workday hours

Job Duties :

• Estimate costs for incoming quotes regarding pressure vessels, piping, skids, and controls / instruments
• Provide complete mechanical design for vessels and piping systems
• Select components based P&IDs and customer spec sheets
• Conduct Material take offs
• Develop valve and instrument lists based off of the PFD and P&ID
