Job description

Finance Associate

Join our Specialty Lending Credit Team as a Finance Associate, where youll help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. Youll work closely with our Senior Credit & Portfolio Manager to support the team in reviewing and tracking client financials, ensuring accuracy and a balanced portfolio.

Based out of our Madison, WI headquarters, this role requires 2 days per week in office. Specifically, as a Finance Associate you will :

  • Monthly Client Check-ins
  • Help prepare monthly review packages for our clients, including :
  • Double-checking payments and invoices
  • Making occasional calls to customers to confirm details
  • Putting together reports that show how clients are doing financially
  • Daily & Weekly Financial Tracking
  • Use Excel to match client transactions with our internal system
  • Spot and explain any differences
  • Help process funding requests
  • Build relationships with clients through regular communication
  • Client Performance Reports
  • Collect and analyze data to create monthly performance snapshots for larger clients
  • Put together credit profiles for customers, including reports, references, and financials
  • Compliance Monitoring
  • Make sure clients are submitting the reports and documents we need on time
  • Annual Reviews & Updates
  • Help gather info for client renewals or changes to their financial setup
  • Work with internal teams and clients to collect the right data

Position Requirements :

  • Bachelors degree in Finance or related field required
  • Advanced user of Excel
  • Ability to utilize knowledge of spreadsheets and data mining to simplify tasks and recommend improved efficiencies
  • Strong knowledge of technology, business computer applications, and ability to pick up on new systems quickly
  • Ability to work independently and use independent judgment with minimal supervision
  • Ability to handle pressure of meeting deadlines
