AP / AR Accounting Specialist – Construction
Full-Time | On-Site | Allentown, PA
Join a growing construction firm as an AP / AR Accounting Specialist! This role is perfect for someone who loves details, thrives on organization, and enjoys working in a fast-paced project environment. You’ll handle full-cycle accounting and help keep multiple construction projects running smoothly.
What You’ll Do
Prepare and process AIA billings (G702 / G703) and Time & Materials invoices.
Track job costs — materials, equipment, insurance, and tax — to support accurate project reporting.
Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable, including vendor setup, payments, and reconciliations.
Support month- and year-end close activities, including WIP reports, journal entries, and 1099 preparation.
Process sales / use tax filings and retainage payments.
Assist with light office administration as needed.
What You’ll Bring
Experience in construction accounting or general contracting required.
Proficiency in Sage 300 / Timberline or similar construction accounting software.
Strong understanding of AIA billing and job cost accounting.
