The Staff Assistant plays a vital role in maintaining the efficient operation of the Disability and Access Services (DAS) office. This position is responsible for managing front desk reception and delivering high-quality customer service to students, staff, faculty, and visitors. Key responsibilities include the accurate handling of documentation, the secure management of confidential information, and the proper organization and filing of records. The Staff Assistant will work under the direct supervision of the Office Manager and provide administrative support to all DAS personnel. Essential Functions :

60%-Administrative and Clerical Support Provide comprehensive administrative support to the DAS office, including answering telephone inquiries, scheduling appointments, managing email communications, and securely uploading disability-related documentation. Ensure all clerical tasks are handled with discretion and in accordance with confidentiality protocols.

5% Director Support Coordinate the calendar, appointments, and meetings for the Director of DAS, ensuring efficient time management and scheduling.

15% Front Desk and Visitor Services Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors to the DAS office. Respond to inquiries from students, parents, faculty, and staff, and address front desk concerns or conflicts as they arise with professionalism and tact.

10% Office Operations Monitor and maintain inventory of office supplies, placing orders as needed. Manage departmental mailings, both incoming and outgoing, and liaise with Facilities for office maintenance and repair requests.

10% Additional Duties Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall function and mission of the DAS office.

Required Skills

High School Diploma required. Bachelors preferred. Outstanding customer service skills required.
