Senior Finance Manager, IT SOX
The Financial Compliance Group ("FCG") in Corporate Accounting manages Microsoft's SOX program, responsible for all financial controls scoping, policies, guidance, audit requirements, control standards, and SOX decision-making. The FCG is looking for someone to take on a high impact role as Senior Finance Manager, IT SOX reporting to the Director of the Financial Compliance Group. The Senior Finance Manager will be responsible for IT-facing SOX risks and controls for the company.
Responsibilities :
- Support global business partners with SOX regulatory and programmatic requirements
- Development, implementation, and improvement of SOX IT controls and remediation plans
- Assess and consult on pending new IT / Engineering systems or processes for SOX readiness
- Serve as primary liaison between SOX IT / Engineering process owners, Internal Audit and External Audit
- Support and contribute to the success of the company's SOX program compliance activities and reporting
Qualifications :
Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field ORBachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.5+ years experience in audit or SOX compliance, including IT control experience.5+ years experience using workflow management tools and applying advanced PC skills to support business processes.3+ years experience in public audit.Additional or Preferred Qualifications :
Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience ORBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.1+ year(s) experience in multinationals with multi-product / multi-segment finance roles.1+ year(s) work experience in matrix-based organization.1+ year(s) work experience in the technology or software industry.5+ years experience applying audit practices and driving business decisions with measurable impact.5+ years experience maintaining and applying high ethical standards in business decisions.5+ years experience communicating effectively and collaborating across teams and functions.5+ years experience influencing stakeholders constructively and fostering team collaboration.5+ years experience using analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to deliver results.5+ years experience navigating ambiguity and adapting to changing business requirements.5+ years experience managing multiple priorities and embracing new challenges.Active CPA license or certificationFinancial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
