We are seeking a skilled IT Systems Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to maintaining and improving our IT infrastructure. This role involves managing systems, networks, and end-user support to ensure smooth operations across the organization.

• Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, virtual machines, and network devices.
• Administer and configure Proxmox virtualization environments to support business applications.
• Implement and maintain automation processes using tools such as Ansible, PXE boot, and Google Workspace to streamline operations.
• Manage Fortinet and FortiGate firewalls, ensuring network security and optimal performance.
• Handle service desk tickets, adhering to SLAs and providing timely resolution to user issues.
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and deployment of desktops, laptops, and related hardware.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business applications and IT projects.
• Maintain documentation for IT systems, processes, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
• Qualifications
• This posting is based out of Albuquerque, New Mexico. To be eligible for consideration, candidates must be local or willing to relocate.
• Education
• : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience
• : 3-4 years of experience in IT administration or a similar role.
• Technical Skills
• Hands-on experience with Proxmox for virtualization management.
• Proficiency in automation tools and processes (e.g., Ansible, PXE boot, Google Workspace).
• Proficiency in scripting using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Experience managing Fortinet and FortiGate firewalls.
• Strong knowledge of managing and troubleshooting desktops, laptops, and related hardware.
• Familiarity with service desk operations, including handling tickets and meeting SLAs.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMs) and system administration.
• Soft Skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Certifications
• (preferred but not required) :
• Fortinet NSE certifications. ITIL Foundation or similar service management certifications.
• Relevant certifications in virtualization or automation (e.g., Red Hat Ansible, Proxmox).
• Working Conditions
• Full-time position with occasional on-call responsibilities for critical system issues.
• May require lifting and transporting hardware for setup and repairs.
• Hybrid work environment with both on-site and remote responsibilities.

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
