American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with ARRT MRI credentials and GE MRI equipment proficiency for an assignment involving rotating day / evening shifts.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a fast-paced Magnetic Resonance Imaging settingAssignment is 13 weeks in length with 8-hour rotating day / evening shiftsMust operate GE MRI equipmentPatient population may vary based on age, condition, and communication abilitiesPerforms both technical and mechanical aspects of MRI including Point of Care testing and QA / maintenance tasksMust recognize normal and abnormal anatomy and tailor the exam as necessaryWill review exams with Radiologists and contribute technical / professional knowledgeResponds appropriately to medical emergencies and works effectively under stressExpected to communicate effectively with patients, families, medical staff, and office personnelResponsible for quality assurance and Point of Care equipment maintenanceAssessment modules and skills testing in Tele / ECG and Medication may be requiredReturn candidates must have a 6-month break from any position within the health systemAll requested time off must be disclosed at time of applicationScrub or dress code details will be provided by the facilityInterview availability must be provided at application\n \n Requirements\n
Graduate of an accredited MRI program or current R.T. (MRI) (ARRT) registrationMinimum of 1 year recent MRI experience requiredProficiency with GE MRI systems requiredRegistration as R.T. (MR) (ARRT) and active MRI certification requiredCurrent CPR certification requiredExperience in venipuncture is necessaryAbility to work independently at a quick pace and prioritize in a multi-task settingMA state license required if applicableCOVID vaccine and booster, and seasonal flu vaccination required (medical exemptions permitted)Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of the facility\n Benefits\n
