Role

Eli Lilly and Company seeks a Sr. Principal Engineer-Data (R4-R5) to engage in technical leadership within Lilly Research Labs. Responsibilities include ensuring technical designs align with architecture guidance and data platform standards, staying current with advanced technology and analytics trends, assisting the team in impact analysis to translate and implement technical design (configuration / development and data integration), influencing solution direction and future releases, and providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to junior developers on best practices, standards, and methodologies of software engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership within Lilly Research Labs and ensure alignment with architecture guidance and data platform standards.
• Grow and maintain knowledge of advanced technology and analytics trends within the organization and industry.
• Assist the team in impact analysis to translate and implement technical designs (configuration / development and data integration).
• Influence solution direction and future releases based on technical expertise.
• Offer guidance, coaching, and mentoring to junior developers on software engineering best practices, standards, and methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits

Actual compensation will depend on education, experience, skills, and location. Full-time employees are eligible for a company bonus (dependent on company and individual performance).
