Office Attendant

Looking for a fun and exciting opportunity to engage with guests in a first-class marina on Pier 6 & 8 in the Charlestown Nay Yard?

Charlestown Marina is currently seeking a full-time office attendant.

Possessing an upbeat and positive attitude and having the ability to multi-task, and work effectively with a small team to get the job done is paramount.

We wear many hats with one common goal-to exceed our guests’ expectations.

Responsibilities of the Office Attendant (not limited to) :

Checking in and out of guests from the marina software.

Providing Restaurant recommendations .

Fielding reservations and inquiries.

Answering phone calls and responding to email with upbeat and friendly communication.

Assisting guests on the marina docks and in the office.

Welcoming Marina guests in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner, both face-to-face and on the phone; and insuring guest needs are being met

Handling and processing a variety of payment methods

Must exercise sound, professional judgement and have the ability to work independently.

Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications :

Detail oriented, organized, efficient

Concierge, hospitality or food service, experience

Must be a multi-tasker and a team player to assist other employees in providing a first-class marina experience to our guests

Maintaining the freshness and cleanliness of our work environment at all times.

Must exercise sound, professional judgment and have the ability to work independently.

Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) and ability to read, speak and write English is required. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

Candidates must be proficient In Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel).

Ability to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time.

Ability to push, lift and pull up to 25 lbs.

Charlestown Marina is 350 slip first-class marina on Piers 6 and 8 in the Charlestown Navy Yard.

We welcome both seasonal and transients’ boats ranging in size from 18ft to 400ft. Our marina operates year-round and we have 100 live-aboard vessels throughout the winter season.
