Must-Have : Must be willing to float to NICU when needed, may also float to ED patient holds.

Description :

As a member of the interdisciplinary team, you will contribute professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients through the application of the nursing process.

The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit features a 12-bed, all private-room facility staffed by pediatric critical care doctors.

The intensive care team helps care for critically ill or injured infants, children, and teens.

The Pediatric Transport Team provides children throughout the state access to a higher level of care.

This team brings critical care expertise to children by a pediatric nurse under the medical direction of a pediatric critical care or pediatric emergency medicine physician.

The unit includes private rooms with ample storage space, a private bathroom and shower, and a family consultation room for discussing care plans.

There is a family lounge with a kitchenette and comfortable seating for family members to spend time outside of their child's room.

The state-of-the-art design allows staff to monitor patients efficiently and act quickly as needed.

The environment is patient and family-centered, featuring pull-out beds, reclining chairs for families, privacy curtains, televisions, and individual sound systems.

You will be required to work two of three winter holidays : Christmas, New Year’s, or Thanksgiving.

A limit of one day request off is permitted between specified holiday periods for all travelers regardless of holidays worked.

Floating to the NICU is required, where you may care for less critically ill patients.
