This role offers the opportunity to play a pivotal part in designing and optimizing the power grid of the future. As a Senior Power Systems Engineer, you will lead and execute high-level transmission planning studies, provide technical expertise to both internal teams and clients, and mentor junior engineers. You will leverage advanced power systems software to conduct steady-state, dynamic, and specialized studies, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure projects meet quality, budget, and schedule objectives. Collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams, you will influence processes, enhance efficiency, and contribute to business development efforts. This position allows you to make a tangible impact on energy infrastructure while working in a forward-looking, innovative environment.

Accountabilities :

• Conduct high-level bulk power system studies using software such as PSS / E, PSCAD, Aspen, and TARA.
• Perform steady-state, short-circuit, dynamic, and transient stability analyses, and specialized studies like Sub-synchronous Resonance.
• Develop mitigation plans to address system constraints and issues.
• Lead, coach, and mentor electrical engineers, fostering technical growth and team development.
• Interact with clients to gather input, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction with project deliverables.
• Review and enhance transmission planning methodologies, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Support business development activities and contribute to strategic growth initiatives.
