Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (Level 5) to join one of Air Dominance’s Proprietary programs located in Hazelwood, MO .

The Engineer joining the team will be part of a high-performing, cross-functional team building next generation, state-of-the-art capability while supporting the integration of program, customer and product to drive successful execution of the program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the team through the analysis, design, development, integration and test of the Escape System Architecture on the weapon system.

Position Responsibilities

• Responsible for the design, development, integration, and system performance of Escape Systems including but not limited to energetic devices, ejection seats, and transparencies.
• Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to lead activities to plan, design, develop and verify escape system architectures and individual components
• Lead to evaluate customer / operational needs to define system and component level performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical and functional interfaces
• Manage major suppliers
• Mentor junior and mid-career engineers

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically and / or internationally depending on business needs.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  Summary pay range : $154,700 – $209,300
