They partner with major automotive OEMs, Tier 1 & 2 suppliers, and industrial manufacturers to deliver people, process, and technology solutions that keep production lines moving and quality standards high.
THE JOB
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for driving new business within an Ohio territory, selling the company’s full suite of manufacturing services—including workforce support, quality inspection, and consulting solutions. This role will focus on developing and expanding relationships with both new and existing clients. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial sales environment and is motivated by building long-term partnerships within the manufacturing community.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute a regional sales plan aligned with company growth goals.
- Identify, prospect, and cultivate relationships with manufacturing decision-makers (OEMs, Tier 1 & 2 suppliers).
- Conduct in-person and virtual sales meetings on a weekly basis.
- Manage pipeline and client data in an organized manner.
- Collaborate with leadership on pricing strategies and proposal development.
- Attend trade shows, networking events, and after-hours client functions.
- Provide client feedback and market insights to help guide company strategy.
Territory : State of Ohio, with limited overnight travel. Most client visits are day trips.
THE QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.3+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in automotive, industrial, or manufacturing sectors.Proven track record of prospecting success and building relationships with mid- to enterprise-level clients.Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication, time management, and organization abilities.Comfortable working remotely and independently; highly self-motivated and results-driven.Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM tools.Flexibility to attend after-hours industry events and occasional travel within the region.THE BENEFITS
Base Salary : $65,000 – $75,000 depending on experience.Compensation Structure : Base + Commission + Bonus (first-year OTE $90K–$110K)Benefits : Full medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.Schedule : Home-based with 3–4 field days in-territory per week.Culture : Fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and rewarding.
