Senior Project Engineer / Project Manager : Water - Sioux Falls, SD

Responsibilities
- Provide professional services for water engineering projects, including planning, study, design, and construction administration.
- Manage performance of the project team (Project Engineers, Junior Engineers, Technicians).
- Maintain and develop client relationships; pursue new opportunities and maintain existing ones.
- Provide quality control and quality assurance on project deliverables.
- Maintain project budgets and schedules; coordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetings.
- Provide mentorship for team members.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.Professional Engineer registration or ability to obtain within 6 months.4+ years of experience in municipal civil engineering with strong interest in the water market sector (Drinking Water, Wastewater, Stormwater, Water Resources).Strong oral and written communication skills.Ability to travel as required for project / client responsibilities and business development.Ability to work remotely and manage projects, clients, and project team members.Knowledge of design standards and permitting.Eligibility to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (e.g., background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records) as applicable by law and policy.Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in civil or environmental engineering.8+ years of experience in municipal water engineering (Drinking Water, Wastewater, Stormwater, Water Resources).Project management experience.Knowledge of project financials and funding programs.Physical Qualifications
Ability to walk up to 3 miles on uneven terrain; stand or sit for prolonged periods.Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; occasionally lift / carry light to moderate weights (up to 20 pounds, up to 50 pounds rarely).Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify issues; may require PPE (including flame resistant clothing, hard hat, protective footwear).May require occasional evenings / weekends with overtime; occasional travel to off-site locations including overnight stays.Benefits and Culture
