Be part of our team that values a wide range of perspectives and is committed to shaping a better world with every product we create.

We're seeking Electrical Control Technicians who are passionate about troubleshooting of equipment within a manufacturing environment. If you have a curious mind, a strong work ethic, and a desire to be part of a global leader, this role is for you!

Work environment:

Our Indianapolis plant is a dynamic facility operating 24/7, 365 days a year. You'll be part of a unionized team working rotating shifts across three shifts (8-16 hours). While the work is challenging, it offers opportunities for growth and stability.

The plant atmosphere can be demanding, with varying temperatures, noise levels, and potential exposure to heights. Respiratory protection may be required in certain areas and it also may involve encounters with pests.

Must be able to move about in the processing areas and be able to do the following: lift and carry 50 pounds, stand and walk for sustained periods; climb stairs and ladders; bend; reach; push; pull and enter tanks.

What you will do:

  • Wire, troubleshoot, and perform phase rotation verification for single- and three-phase electric motors.
  • Troubleshoot standard control circuits (24VDC, 120VAC, etc.) and process signals (0-10VDC, 4-20mA, etc.).
  • Install (in-kind), troubleshoot, and maintain industrial and motor control hardware, including sensors, operators, indicators, electro-mechanical relays, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and replace sacrificial parts (fuses, overloads, etc.) on both energized (≤120VAC and ≤24VDC) and de-energized (>120VAC and >24VDC) circuits.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain application-specific controllers (smart relays, smart timers, process meters, scale controllers, CEMs, etc.).
  • Verify and troubleshoot discrete and analog signals at all points, including and between the control system interface and the field device (valves, instrumentation, etc.).
  • Perform adjustments (span, trim, etc.) and setpoint changes on field devices that do not require the use of a field communicator or other specialty interface.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain pneumatic and electro-pneumatic hardware and systems used for the control and actuation of control valves and other pneumatically controlled hardware.
  • Understand and comply with all OSHA, state/provincial, and local codes. Participate in plant training and safety programs.
  • Demonstrate safe work habits and proper care for tools and equipment.
  • Perform other duties as required.

What you will bring:

  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • Knowledge or experience with medium voltage
  • Experience with PLCs and VFDs
  • Must be able to complete pre-employment assessments as required
  • Must be able to pass a background check for education, work history, and criminal record
  • Must be able to successfully pass a physical and drug screen as applicable by local government
  • Knowledge in the installation, maintenance, and repairs of common mechanical systems found in an industrial manufacturing facility that require instrumentation.
  • Ability to read and understand labels, blueprints, schematics, job site maps/directions, instruction manuals and/or written instructions accurately.
  • Read, write, and speak English (required)
  • OSHA certification (desirable)
  • Strong computer skills (UKG, SAP, Excel, Outlook) (desirable)
  • Union background (desirable)

Who you are:

  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Adaptability to rotating shifts and willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with safety standards
