Global Inventory Planning Director
The Global Inventory Planning Director is responsible for developing and executing global inventory strategies that align with Flowserve's operational excellence and financial objectives. This role requires a strategic leader who can integrate advanced inventory management practices across our global operations to enhance efficiency and service levels.
Primary Role & Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning : Develop and implement global inventory strategies aligned with business goals, taking into account market trends and supply chain dynamics.
- Advanced Analytics : Utilize data analysis tools to optimize inventory levels across all product lines, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts.
- Demand Forecasting : Lead the creation of accurate demand forecasts to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize logistical discrepancies.
- Inventory Optimization : Apply methodologies such as JIT, EOQ, and safety stock calculations to refine inventory practices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with sales, purchasing, operations, and logistics to ensure cohesive inventory planning and execution.
- Performance Monitoring : Define and track KPIs related to inventory efficiency, such as turnover rates, stock-out rates, and carrying costs.
- Process Improvement : Continuously seek and implement improvements to inventory management processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
- Technology Adoption : Oversee the evaluation and integration of new inventory management systems and technologies.
- Team Leadership : Build and lead a high-performing inventory planning team, fostering a culture of achievement and continuous improvement.

Education : Master's degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management; MBA preferred.Experience : At least 10+ years in supply chain or continuous improvement roles, with a minimum of 3+ years in a senior inventory planning position within a manufacturing environment.Proven experience with successful improvements to Days Sales Inventory (DSI), demonstrating capability in significantly enhancing inventory turnover and efficiency.Certifications : CPIM certification highly desirable.Skills : Proficiency with ERP systems such as Avante, Oracle, SAP, and Syteline, strong financial acumen, and expertise in Lean Manufacturing principles.Preferred Qualifications
A proven track record of strategic planning and effective execution within global supply chain operations.Experience in managing material flow throughout manufacturing facilities from inception to completion.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global manufacturing environment.
