Stars Therapy Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Speech Therapist to join our dynamic team. This position primarily focuses on conducting in-home comprehensive assessments and evaluations for children age 0-3yo with a wide range of developmental, physical, and sensory challenges. The ideal candidate will use evidence-based practices to determine developmental levels, and is vital for providing insightful and actionable recommendations that help children and their families achieve their full potential. Direct service, consultations, and team collaboration is also an integral part of this position. Requirements : Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive, standardized, and play-based evaluations to assess a child's strengths, abilities, and needs across various developmental areas.
- Administer and interpret a variety of formal and informal assessment tools to gather objective data.
- Synthesize evaluation results into a clear, comprehensive, and well-written report that includes measurable goals and targeted recommendations for intervention.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and a multidisciplinary team—including psychologists, OT / PT / ST, and child development specialists, to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to the assessment and outcomes.
- Present and explain assessment findings to families in a compassionate and understandable manner.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation of all assessments and reports.
- Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans with measurable goals based on assessment findings.
- Provide direct, one-on-one therapy sessions that are play-based and functional to improve patients' skills.
- Educate and collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals (Child Development Specialists, OT, ST, PT) through consultations both virtual and in person, to provide holistic care and support.
- Manage a caseload of both direct therapy and assessment clients.
Qualifications
Education : Master's degree in Speech & Language Pathology from an accredited program.Licensure : Current and valid state license to practice as a Speech Therapist.Experience : Previous experience conducting pediatric assessments in a clinical, school, or home-based setting is preferred.Knowledge : Strong understanding of pediatric development, speech therapy theory, and evidence-based assessment methods.Skills :Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building rapport with children, families, and team members.
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze assessment results and formulate recommendations.Demonstrated patience, empathy, and creativity when working with children of varying needs and abilities.Position Details
