SVP of Construction - Data Centers (Las Cruces)

The Position

The Senior Vice President of Construction will hold overall responsibility for the leadership and successful delivery of a multi-phase, campus-scale data center development program. This individual will oversee all stages of delivery from initial planning and design through construction and tenant turnover ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

This role will require strategic oversight of all construction operations, including large-scale civil and site infrastructure, building delivery, and coordination of complex supporting systems. The SVP will lead a team comprising Vice Presidents, Directors, and Senior Project Managers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and accountability.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience managing multi-billion-dollar turnkey data center projects, a deep understanding of complex infrastructure delivery, and the ability to navigate high-value stakeholder relationships across development, operations, finance, and client organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide executive-level leadership and accountability for all construction activities across large-scale data center campuses.
• Oversee project budgets, cost controls, forecasting, and reporting to ensure financial accuracy and transparency.
• Champion a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence across internal teams, contractors, and partners.
• Direct and manage general contractors, consultants, and vendors, ensuring alignment with project goals and contractual requirements.
• Lead contract negotiations, change management, and claims resolution, coordinating with legal, finance, and executive teams.
• Review, approve, and monitor project schedules, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
• Develop and mentor high-performing teams, fostering collaboration and succession planning within the construction organization.
• Act as the primary executive interface for client, partner, and investor relationships, ensuring strategic alignment and satisfaction.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including Design, Strategy, Sales Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, Finance, and Operations to support seamless project execution.
• Present project updates, analysis, and strategic insights to the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors.
