Position : Payroll Supervisor

Summary :

As the Payroll Supervisor, you will lead our payroll team in ensuring accurate and timely payments to our employees while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.

Your responsibilities include overseeing payroll operations, managing a team of specialists, and providing support for payroll inquiries.

This role demands meticulous attention to detail, exceptional communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of payroll procedures and regulations.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Payroll Processing :

  • Supervise the end-to-end payroll process, including data entry, verification, and transaction processing.
  • Ensure precise calculation of wages, bonuses, deductions, and other compensations based on employee records and agreements.
  • Review and approve payroll reports prior to employee payments.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance departments to reconcile payroll data and address discrepancies.

2. Compliance and Reporting :

  • Guarantee compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, including withholdings, garnishments, and statutory deductions.
  • Stay abreast of payroll law changes and implement necessary updates.
  • Prepare and submit payroll tax returns, reports, and filings as required.
  • Assist in payroll audits and respond to inquiries from auditors and regulatory agencies.

3. Payroll Systems Management :

  • Manage the maintenance and administration of payroll systems and software to ensure data integrity and functionality.
  • Coordinate with IT and software vendors to implement updates, enhancements, and fixes.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for payroll system issues.

4. Customer Service and Support :

  • Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries from employees, managers, and external stakeholders.
  • Address payroll issues promptly and professionally, offering accurate information and guidance.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure employee satisfaction.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field preferred.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is advantageous.
  • Minimum 3 years of payroll processing and administration experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in calculations.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
