Ernest is a quickly growing restaurant from Chef Brandon Rice. We’re seeking a highly-qualified, motivated, and passionate Sous Chef to join our senior kitchen team and help oversee operations. This is a full-time salaried position with benefits.
Our Sous Chef is an integral member of the team and will have the opportunity to help us build something truly special. The Sous Chef will work directly with Chef to develop dishes and collaborate on the menu. This position will be hands-on, overseeing the staff, and responsible for the kitchen's routine operations, including food preparation and production. You will adhere to standard operating procedures for food quality and ensure the kitchen is compliant with the regulatory requirements for food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness.
You will work closely with the Chef and be expected to assume responsibility at this level as you will be left to run shifts and lead the team.
Our sleek, brand new kitchen looks out to our industrial dining room. Ernest’s menu is fun and approachable, yet refined with elegant layers of familiar flavors done in a new way. We want someone who is excited about helping us create this dining experience.
