Superintendent - Construction
Position Overview : The Superintendent will be responsible for directing and managing various construction projects while ensuring that they are built in accordance with design specifications and safety regulations.
They will coordinate with project managers, subcontractors and vendors to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities :
- Interpret and implement construction drawings and specifications.
- Prepare and maintain project schedules, monitor milestones and provide updates to project managers.
- Provide field support, direction, and supervision to subcontractors and vendors.
- Conduct and document daily site meetings.
- Identify and resolve potential conflicts and disagreements with subcontractors.
- Ensure that all safety protocols are followed and all construction activities are in accordance with applicable safety regulations.
- Monitor the progress of the project and report any issues or concerns to project managers.
- Conduct regular quality control inspections.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Construction, with experience in multi-family, commercial, industrial, and / or retail.
- Thorough understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other related software.
