SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Under the supervision of the Program Director / Administrator or Supervisor, the Group Facilitator IIA I is responsible for providing weekly on-going group counseling (facilitation / co-facilitation) coordinating, preparing and maintaining participant group files / records; coordinating participant services and ensuring accurate and prompt reporting to the Family Court on a monthly and quarterly basis.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

• Four-Year College Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency - general major. Requires basic knowledge or training in a specialized or technical field or trade, such as social work, professional accounting, finance, business administration, and marketing.
• Other (Specify) : Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, psychiatry, or psychiatric nursing.

EXPERIENCE

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Experience with Domestic Violence and group therapy.

Issues related to Domestic Violence.

Ability to communicate and work effectively with people of diverse social, economic, ethnic / racial, and cultural backgrounds; ability to establish effective working relationships with at-risk families.
