Supply Specialist III
The Supply Specialist III will perform advanced tasks related to receiving, distribution, and inventory management within the healthcare industry. Responsibilities include system management, receiving, and distribution.
System Management :
- Performs Point of Use system maintenance as required
- Troubleshoots technical problems with the point of use solution in conjunction with the CHOP Logistics Specialist
- Adds and deletes items from par locations as directed by the CHOP Logistics Specialist
- Informs appropriate Supply Chain staff of any known issues or challenges related to existing stocking levels and / or physical layout of inventory locations
- Other duties as assigned
Receiving :
Responsible for ensuring all shipping and receiving documents are completed accurately and on timeReceive materials and supplies against purchase orders for delivery as per packing list and delivers shipments to designated locationsInspects and ensures the quality of all inbound and outbound shipments and reports all damages and discrepanciesWorks with purchasing to return products as neededMaintain a clean and safe work environmentUse UPS World ship and Fed ex to process outgoing shipmentCommunicate effectively with customers and supervisors and assist with discrepancy resolutionAssures timely receipt and delivery of critical medical human tissue, equipment and temperature sensitive productsOperates equipment such as manual and electric pallet jacks and fork-lift to offload and move freight to designated delivery locationMake arrangements with facilities management to uncrate heavy equipment and removed from loading dock expeditiouslyMake sure deliveries are unloaded and vehicles moved at a timely pace in order to expedite deliveries, pickups, and courier servicesEnsure dock meets all regulatory policies and proceduresOther duties as assignedDistribution :
Deliver and stock inventory in Materials Distribution managed par locationsWorks with internal customers to ensure that their needs are being adequately metOther duties as assignedQualifications :
High School Diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum 5 years professional experience with minimum 3 years in Inventory Management and / or receiving experience preferredLoading dock and receiving experience preferredExperience working in inventory management preferred; Experience working in healthcare desiredBasic working knowledge of computers and programsExcellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communications skills are required for success in this functionDemonstrated good ability to prioritize work, strong organizational skills and initiative to improve processesExcellent customer service, professional attitude and appearance are a mustAbility to work overtime and meet deadlinesPhysical Demands :
Ability to lift 50 lbsReaching, pushing, pulling carts weighing up to 250lbsWalking, standing for extended periods of timeWhat We Offer :
