Lead Thermal Engineer

Overview

The Lead Thermal Engineer position is with Kysor-Warren Epta, part of the global Epta Group, located in Columbus, Georgia. As a valued member of the Product Development team, you will design, develop, and validate innovative refrigeration systems using natural refrigerants like CO2 and propane, contributing to sustainable refrigeration technology.

Your contribution : Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of refrigeration systems with a focus on natural refrigerants (CO2, propane).
• Perform thermodynamic modeling and simulations to evaluate system performance.
• Identify and implement innovative technologies that improve energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.
• Create and execute test plans, analyze results, and ensure alignment with industry standards and customer expectations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, service, and controls teams to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions.
• Support field deployment and troubleshooting during product validation and launch.
• Ensure product compliance with relevant standards and regulations (UL, CSA, ASHRAE, etc.).
• Work with internal and external partners to research and evaluate new technologies and components.
