Key Responsibilities
- Analyze procurement data to identify trends, savings opportunities, and compliance gaps; develop dashboards and reports for leadership.
- Mitigate supply risks and ensure timely delivery of materials and services while reducing total cost of ownership (TCO) and maintaining required quality and specifications.
- Place purchase orders using current pricing, purchase agreements, and supplier negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Manage purchase order updates, outline contracts, supplier communications, and data accuracy.
- Negotiate materials and services within delegated limits; escalate higher-value approvals to the Manager.
- Track and evaluate supplier performance using KPIs, scorecards, and service-level metrics to ensure contractual compliance.
- Execute procurement activities in alignment with corporate policies, federal and state regulations, including antitrust laws and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
- Support inventory optimization by maintaining service levels while minimizing corporate investment.
- Once trained, provide sound recommendations to management, exercising independent judgment and creative problem-solving.
- Act as liaison between procurement, business units, and suppliers to ensure alignment and resolve operational issues.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to identify and drive process improvements, automation, and efficiency initiatives.
- Leverage data and analytics in purchasing decisions; ensure accuracy and attention to detail in financial and TCO evaluations.
- Maintain strong partnerships with assigned business units to continuously improve material procurement, cost control, and supplier competitiveness.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of strategic suppliers, market conditions, emerging products, and industry trends impacting procurement decisions.
- Ensure efficient use of SAP procurement tools (SRM, ECC, and upcoming ARIBA / S4 conversion); identify opportunities to streamline administrative work and optimize catalog utilization.
- Uphold the highest ethical standards in all negotiations and ensure objective, fair supplier evaluation and selection.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain roles.Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency; experience working with data-driven or financial projects preferred.Familiarity with SAP ECC or S4 procurement systems.Proven negotiation and purchasing experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; collaborates effectively across diverse teams.Demonstrated leadership and composure under pressure; proactive, candid, and decisive in addressing challenges.Ability to drive change, implement process improvements, and adopt new technologies.Positive, energetic, and forward-thinking mindset.Education
Bachelor's degree required (Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred).Master's degree is a plus.Coursework or certification in Supply Chain Management strongly preferred.Key Attributes
