Procurement Manager
In this position, you lead the procurement of goods and services essential to the company's operations across North America, with a strong focus on inland transportation and logistics for the entire region. You also oversee purchasing activities for the Hampshire plant, including raw materials, spare parts, maintenance services, and capital investments.
Responsibilities
- Requirements Analysis : Gather and analyze functional requirements from internal stakeholders and develop purchasing strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Supplier Management : Identify and qualify suppliers, launch tenders (RFI / RFQ), evaluate proposals using Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and lead negotiations through to contract signature.
- Contracting & Compliance : Draft contractual terms with legal support, establish agreements with KPIs, and ensure adherence to internal procedures, quality standards, and CSR principles.
- Performance & Risk Management : Monitor supplier performance through audits and KPIs, resolve disputes, implement corrective actions, and maintain competitive intelligence to anticipate market trends and supply risks.
- Reporting & Governance : Provide accurate reporting on purchasing performance and budget compliance, and participate in compliance audits.
Qualifications
Master degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field is required.Prior experience in Purchasing is mandatory, and expertise in logistics and transportation is appreciated.Ability to work in a team and interact with various stakeholders.Will be part of a global purchasing network with numerous remote interactions.Will have to seek support from other Purchasing Leaders.Responsiveness, adaptability, and proactivity with excellent negotiation and communication skills and the ability to analyze and synthesize needs and offers.Strong ethics and respect for confidentiality.Experience with MRP / ERP software systems in the execution of material planning and inventory control functions.
